Theatre Etiquette
Going to a musical is a special experience, one that you will remember for a long time. What follows are a few reminders for attending the theatre.

Please Arrive Promptly- Even better- arrive early. At most theatres, late arrivals are not seated. Make an effort to arrive at the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to curtain to get your tickets, use the restrooms, etc. Get to your seat before the performance begins. You do not want to be disturbed by a late arrival, so do not disturb others.

Please Do Not Speak During the Performances- Laughing at jokes and applauding the actors is encouraged, but please do not repeat the dialogue or explain the plot to your companion. You are not at home watching television. You did not pay to listen to your neighbors, and your neighbors did not pay to listen to you.

Please Leave Your Cameras Off During Performances- Copyright laws prohibit photographing or videotaping a performance. Your camera or other recording devices could be illegal as well as bothersome to those around you. If you are caught filming or photographing tonight’s performance, you will be escorted to the lobby where you will delete all show files. Any further infractions will result in your dismissal from the performance.

Please Turn OFF All Electronic Devices- Cell phones, pagers, alarm watches, and other noisy electronic devices should be silent while in the theatre. They interfere with your neighbor’s ability to enjoy the show. Be present with us in this moment, stay off of your phones and just enjoy the show that so many people have worked hard to put on for you.

Please Keep Your Feet Off the Seats- Please do not drape your legs over the seats in front of you and do not walk on another seat to get out of yours.

Please Remain In Your Seat Until the End- The End means the end of the curtain call. If you are ill and must leave before the show is over, please leave as quietly as you can and at the appropriate interval.

ENJOY THE SHOW!
