Leah Purdy
Director
Leah has been the Director of Choirs/Musicals at NPHS for 16 years. Musicals under her direction have included the 2005 production of West Side Story, The Sound of Music, Beauty and the Beast, Shrek, and The Music Man, which was awarded the NHSTA Award for Outstanding Musical in 2017. She is also a seasoned performer, having held lead roles in numerous musicals as well as serving as the soprano soloist for performances of Handel's Messiah with the Nebraska Chamber Orchestra. She holds a BME Degree from NWU and a MA Degree in Education from UNK. When she's not busy at school, Leah can be found playing the role of her kids' biggest fan at their football, volleyball or basketball games or at track meets! It's been a blessing to direct two of her three children in this musical and is so thankful for her family including her husband Ryan and her children Elliott, Carly and Addie.

Brittany McDaniel
Assistant Director
Brittany McDaniel is in her secenth year as the speech and theatre teacher at NPHS. She has her BA in Communication Studies and Theatre, her BS in Secondary Education, her MA in Theatre, and is currently working on completing her Graduate Certificate in Communication Education. With over 50 productions under her belt, McDaniel is no stranger to the stage. Some of her favorite roles include Vladimir in Waiting for Godot, Judy in White Christmas, and Gertrude McFuzz in Seussical. This is McDaniel's third year assisting with the musical and it's her facorite time of year. Brittany and her husband, Sam, have three children: Allen, Johanna, and Gracelynn, and two cats: Sushi and PatPat. When not busy at school or rehearsal, she can be found reading, crafting or working out. The McDaniel family is also very active with First Baptist Church and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
