North Pole High School

 End Notes

Notes from the Stage Director, Gwendolyn P. Brazier

    What a whirlwind it has been putting this production on. The production team couldn't be prouder of all the hard work our cast, crew and pit orchestra have put in. This show is a testiment to the "ground breaking heights" your talents can reach. In a time when we are struggling to keep arts in the schools just remember "the man can dine me on a diet of anything as long as he doesn't starve me of my tunes".

   Keep rocking and rolling cast.  I expect to see your names up in lights one day so that your production team can say "I them when..."

   To Lucas Clooten, you are amazing and this show would not have survived without lending us your talent and getting such a fantastic orchestra together!  We have students and teachers from West Valley, Lathrop, North Pole as well as community members making up the talent.  They wouldn't be here without your leadership. Thank you.  Its great to have you back in the Patriot pit!

   To MaryCatherine Moroney, you are my partner in crime and I love it. Thank you my sister from another mister.  Together we will take the world by storm one note and teased hairdo at a time!  Thank you for all that you do everyday to make our department shine and sing!

   To Nancy Dreydoppel, my stage manager for our lives. Every year your talents astound me. This is always an unsurmountable task and you make the burdens light and all of our yolks easy.  Thank you for your organization and love of what we do. we couldnt do it without you.

   Katelyn you have been an amazing assistant stage manager. The weight of the work on the show was made substantially lighter by your hard work and dependability. I would like to formally hire you after graduation as my personal assistant.  You don't have to answer now, just know that there is a job for you if you need one.  Thank you.

   To our seniors....YOU ARE AWESOME AND WE WILL MISS YOU!!!   I can't believe this is your last show with us.  Go out in the world, kick butt and take names!!!

All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse's arms.
Then the whining schoolboy, with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress' eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honor, sudden and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon's mouth. And then the justice,
In fair round belly with good capon lined,
With eyes severe and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws and modern instances;
And so he plays his part.
