    Director

    John Bliss has been teaching at NEIU for more than 15 years, which hardly seemspossible. He teaches courses in all three units of CMT, including classes in Acting,Playwriting, and Experimental Theater. John studied theatre at Loyola University ofChicago, and earned his MFA in Playwriting from the Playwrights Workshop at theUniversity of Iowa. His past productions at Stage Center include Becky Shaw, Cloud 9,and Antigone. Outside of NEIU, John writes books for young readers, including a non-fiction book on designer babies, and a historical novel about Leonardo da Vinci.

    Susana Acevedo (She/Her): Susana is a senior CMT student at NEIU. A Doll's House, Part 2 is her 5th main stage play at Stage Center Theatre. Credits include, How to Hero: A Subway Play (Madison) and Native Gardens (Ensemble/ Tania Understudy). Susana hopes you enjoy the show and all the work contributed to the piece.

    Javonti is currently a rising Junior at NEIU studying Communications, Media, and Theatre. Hehas done two independent films, wherein Chosen for Life (2017) he played “JJ” produced bySlate House Productions and 720 Films in association with Free Spirit Media and The Better Life(2020) where he played “Josh” by Mara Galeno. Javonti has also starred in NEIU’s Stage CenterTheatre's Nuevas Voces; A 10-Mintue Play Festival, wherein “Crisis of Independence” (2018) heplayed “Doctor”. Javonti also starred in NEIU’s main stage production of how to hero, or thesubway play (2019) written by Georgette Kelly where he played “King”. Post graduation,Javonti plans to further his acting career.
