    Marti (They/them) is a junior at NEIU with a major in Communication, Media, and Theatre with a minor in Theatre Performance. They are thrilled to be playing a character that means so much to them, and excited to return to Stage Center Theatre after being a part of NEIU’s original play festival Nuevas Voces. Other past roles include Kelly Manning in Kerrigan-Lowdermilk’s The Mad OnesLab and Kait Wetzel in their ongoing virtual charity show Bad Queers: The Musical, for which they are the composer, librettist, and director. They are proud to have directed children’s theatre and taught drama to ages 3-17 for five years. They would like to thank their Babel crew, theCMT Department, the online cast and followers of Bad Queers, and their amazing loved ones for encouraging them to go back to school and follow their passion.

    Elizabeth (she/her) is a Communication, Media, and Theatre major with minors in Theatre Performance and Dance. She is proud to make Babel her fourth production at Stage Center Theater. Elizabeth has also been seen stage-managing at Stage Center Theatre as well as performing in Children Theatre Workshop’s Production of Waterway by Jenni Lamb.     Luke (he/him) is performing for his third time with Stage Center Theatre, previously he was featured in Nuevas Voces 2021, and played Fountainhead/John in "Water By The Spoonful." Luke is a CMT major at NEIU, with a minor in Theatre Performance. He has been performing theatre all around Chicago since high school, some of his favorite roles include Iago in "Othello," Ferdinand in "The Tempest," and Malvolio in "Twelfth Night," among others. Currently, Luke is working an internship at Chicago Youth Shakespeare, a small non-profit theatre company, and a work study at The Artistic Home where he also takes Meisner technique classes. He is very excited to be a part of "Babel" and hopes you enjoy the show. Shoutouts to his friends and family!
