    loves nothing more in this world than telling stories and feels honored to be able to help bring this classic story to audiences through a new lens. An alumnus of University of Nebraska Kearney's theatre program and current graduate student at NEIU studying secondary education, Casas hopes that you find something in this story that will ignite thought, laughter, sadness, and most importantly a whale of a good time. Casas would like to thank family, friends, teachers, and last but not least you for supporting the arts!"

    SaraJane Fein [she/her] (Calliope) is eager and elated for her return to the stage after previously performing in TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS at Stage Center Theatre. SaraJane is a deliciously seasoned actor with a bit of extra sugar and spice. After starting her performance journey at seven, she studied with the Magnet Theater, Upright Citizen’s Brigade, Second City, iO, and Columbia College Chicago. Since moving from New York to Chicago, she has performed in countless improv and sketch performances, starred in several short films, and taught acting and modeling classes to over 1000 students. SaraJane hopes to continue performing more regularly and to grow at least four inches…plus maybe some wings, too.

    Melony Aponte [she/her] (Astrid) is a senior at Northeastern Illinois University majoring in CMT with two minors in theatre performance and journalism. She began acting at the age of ten. In high school, she played Julia from Shakespeare’s TWO GENTLEMEN OF VERONA. In addition, has done stand-in/extra work on Fox’s Empire and NBC’s Chicago Med in 2018. At NEIU, she was involved in the Nuevas Voces 2019, 2022 and 2023. In 2021, she played the role of Yazmin Ortiz in WATER BY THE SPOONFUL by Quiara Alegría Hudes. She is also one of the 6th Annual Playwriting Contest Winners for the Fall 2022 Nuevas Voces Festival for her work, MEMBERS ONLY. Lastly, Aponte has a background with stage management and circus street performance with Urban Theater Company.
