Mary Jane McCloskey

Director

Mary Jane McCloskey is thrilled to return to the magical world of Willy Wonka at Northwest Christian High School! An accomplished performer and teaching artist, Mary Jane holds a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Music from Wheaton College Conservatory. She has performed with companies such as Arizona Opera, Phoenix Opera, Arizona Broadway Theatre, and Hale Centre Theatre—though directing a factory full of singing candy enthusiasts might just be her sweetest gig yet.

When she’s not orchestrating Oompa Loompa shenanigans, Mary Jane teaches voice at Arizona Christian University and in her Phoenix-based home studio. She’s passionate about helping young artists find their voice (whether they’re belting show tunes or warning kids not to chew experimental gum). She’s grateful for the opportunity to work with such a talented and imaginative group of students.

Melissa McGuire

Producer/Music Director

Melissa received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music Education from Arizona State University and her Master of Music in Choral Conducting Degree from Messiah University.  She has taught grades 1-12, with most of her experience in secondary level choral music. Her choirs have received top rankings in various choral festivals, and past students have placed in Regionals, All State Honor, Jazz, and Show choirs. She was the musical director/pianist for Central High School’s productions of Sunday in the Park with George, Little Shop of Horrors, Bye Bye Birdie, and Once Upon A Mattress.  NCS shows include, Cinderella, The Sound of Music, High School Musical, Beauty and the Beast, Clue, Anastasia and Peter/Wendy.
