A Note from the Director....
The Sound of Music was one of the first musicals I remember being introduced to in school. In 4th grade music we learned the songs and watched the movie--it is such a wonderful show. Though musicals are the most complex productions to direct, they still rank among my favorite things.
From start to finish, it is amazing what is put into a show such as this. I want to give a special thanks to Mr. Skelton, who designed and built this incredible set. I want to thank Mrs. Thibault for organizing and hunting down props, set pieces, and costumes from all over the state. I want to thank Mrs. Tice and Mrs. Devaul for their active roles in selling advertising, helping with set and costumes, organizing meals, helping with t-shirts, ticket sales, and concessions. I also want to thank my supportive, wife, Amanda and my beautiful, daughter, Ziva who spent long hours here in the auditorium and allowed me to be away from home working on one of my passions-- theater. As our program continues to grow and develop, it will take the work of many parents and volunteers to ensure our success.
Most of all it takes your support and patronage--thank you! Without your support, there would not be a theater program. I hope your experience is positive, and you help spread the word about Northwestern Theater. I would love to see the day when this theater becomes sold out for a show! Until then, we will keep striving for excellence.
If you would like to become a sponsor of the Northwestern Theater program please feel free to contact me. We are always looking at ways of growing our program.
Theatrically,
Mr. LB
