Ron Milts has been actively engaged in the world of entertainment, production, sound, and lighting since 2002.  He completed his Bachelors Degree at the University of California Riverside with a dual degree in History and Theater.  Ron started working as an Actor in 2001 performing as comedian in short film and commercial work and with a group he helped to found called Marlowe’s Shadowe.  After successfully touring shows throughout the Western United States for 7 years the group disbanded and Ron started a new comedy/improvisational group called the Lords of Laughter that toured from 2006-2009.  In 2005 Ron entered into the world of Theater production and since that time has worked as a Director/Producer having worked on over 30 shows at a variety of venues including the Redlands Shakespeare Festival, Archway Theater (LA), Ediburgh Fringe Festival, Play With Your Food Dinner Theater, LA Fringe and the Riverside Dickens Festival.

In 2008 Ron became a full time teacher at Poly High School in the Riverside Unified School District.  After 1 year in that position Ron was hired on as the Technical Director in RUSD and worked with all outside rental groups that came into any of the six regularly rented theaters within the district until 2015.  Over that time Ron has worked with dozens of professional groups such as Riverside Children’s Theater, Corona Dance Academy, BYU Dance, Freddy Finn Dance, LQ Performing Arts, and various other groups.

In 2009 Ron began teaching acting workshops that have been taken by thousands of students.  These workshops have been featured in over 30 schools, various events, and festivals including CETA, ITS Festival (California), ITS International (Lincoln, NEB), Camp Bravo (LA), and PAA (New Jersey).  Ron currently works as an independent contractor, writing/directing/producing shows, teaching workshops, acting in independent film and commercial work (non-union), lighting design, and working as Technical Director for RUSD.
