Call Me Obsessed! - April 16 - April 19, 2025

Northwood High School (Irvine, CA)

Note from the Director of Theatre Arts

This season has been a masterclass in courage, creativity, and community.

We opened our year with the Roleabout Theatre Festival - a space for students to take artistic risks, share their voices, and receive meaningful feedback through monologues, songs, and scenes. From there, we leapt into the madcap world of Clue, a tightly wound comedic gem that earned roaring laughter and standing ovations. Winter brought the magic of Cinderella, a production that shimmered with heart, hope, and transformation.

In March, we traveled to the California State Thespian Festival on the beautiful Pomona College Campus - an unforgettable experience for our students. There, two of our own were selected as State Thespian Officers for 2025–2026, a distinction awarded to only ten students in the entire state. These incredible artists will now represent California theatre students at the state and national levels, championing the power and necessity of arts education.

And now - Call Me Obsessed.

A student-written, student-driven tour de force that is equal parts hilarious and heartfelt. It’s a story about passion, legacy, and what it means to fall wildly, beautifully in love with an art form. Though CoffeeHouse still awaits us - a final celebration of community and talent - Call Me Obsessed marks the emotional crescendo of our mainstage season.

To our seniors - this show belongs to you. You have given this program your laughter, your leadership, your late nights, and your limitless talent. You’ve left your mark not only on this stage but on the hearts of every student who will follow in your footsteps. As you prepare to take your final bows, know that the light you’ve sparked here will keep glowing long after you’ve gone. We are better because of you.

To the full company - thank you for telling stories that matter, for daring to grow, and for making magic real.

If you walk away tonight with a fuller heart or even just a spark of inspiration, you’ve experienced the gift we’ve been lucky to live every day.

With deep gratitude,

Dr. Danyelle Bossardet
Director of Theatre Arts
