Madagascar A Musical Adventure Jr. - December 09

 End Notes

For the past seven years, we have been teaching the youth in our community the fun and enrichment of musical theatre. From our first production of “Bones – The Musical” by Janet Gardner, to the Broadway style productions like “The Addams Family”, we have endeavored to provide a place that is welcoming, fun, safe and an environment where you can find your talent… and shine.

Along with my Husband Dan, we have produced three previous Broadway Jr. Productions; The Little Mermaid, Shrek, and Fame. However, “Madagascar – A Musical Adventure Jr.” is my first time directing a Musical Theatre International Broadway Jr. production.  I am truly thankful to my dear friend and mentor, Carmen Coindreau for her amazing vision and teaching techniques.

Being in a musical theatrical production brings together so many wonderful skills and provides for participants to explore their talents. Live theatre is a cooperative event which includes the feelings, life experiences of the cast and audience as well. In live theatre… there are no “do overs” or 2nd, 3rd, or 4th takes as in film productions. Most theatrical productions work on shoestring budgets to provide a spectacle that typically astounds as much as it entertains. We are very grateful to the wonderful cast for the time and energy they have supplied to provide you with an amazing musical.

And now, sit back and enjoy…..it’s ShowTime!!!!
