Oak Hill High School

 Who's Who

  • Nicole Akin

    as Veta Louise Simmons

Nicole is a freshman at Oak Hill. Harvey will be her first play to be performed in high school. She is thrilled to be apart of such a wonderful production. Her hobbies include playing the piano, cello, and saxophone. Besides drama, Nicole is involved in Oak Hill’s band and orchestra. She would like to thank her parents and siblings for supporting her throughout this and for driving her everywhere. She would also, like to thank Ms. Kincaid and Anita for all the hard work they’ve put into making Harvey a reality. Lastly, she would like to thank Marlee who taught her to break out of her shell and become a better actress. Her favorite line from Harvey is, “My mother used to say to me, ‘In this world, Elwood, you must be oh, so smart or oh, so pleasant.’ For years I was smart. I recommend pleasant.’”

  • Bailey Hunt

    as Elwood P. Dowd

Bailey is a senior at Oak Hill and has been apart of drama here for the better part of 7 years (his first show being It´s A Wonderful Life as a fifth grader). Bailey is a member of Eagle Review, Speech Team, and is the vice president of the senior class at Oak Hill. Bailey would like to thank his family for their love and support, Ms. K who has always been supportive of him in everything he has done, Anita for all the time she commits to this department, and Marlee for this wonderful show and just for being amazing and uplifting. Most of all Bailey would like to give all the glory to God, because without Him none of this would have been possible. Bailey’s favorite memory from Harvey was the practice where we all sat in a circle and told each other what we liked about one another. It was so awesome and unifying. Bailey’s favorite line from Harvey is ¨There’s a little bit of envy in the best of us and that's just too bad, isn't it?¨ -Elwood P. Dowd

  • Haley Struwe

    as Miss Johnson

Haley is a freshman at Oak Hill. This is Haley’s first year in the high school drama club. She is so thankful to be part of such a wonderful play. Not including drama, Haley takes place in many other activities such as orchestra, choir, and swim. Haley would like to thank her family for supporting her every decision, Ms. Kincaid and Anita for casting her in such an amazing performance, Marlee for being a really cool director, and the rest of the cast just for being great. Haley’s favorite memory from Harvey is when Nicole would steal all of the snacks. You’re great, Nicole. Haley’s favorite line from Harvey is when Mrs. Chauvenet asks Veta if Elwood sees anybody and Veta replies, “Oh, yes, Aunt Ethel, Elwood sees somebody.” Haley likes that line because it always makes her want to run out on stage and wink at the audience while shooting finger guns. She thinks that would be cool.
