The Music Man - March 07 - March 09, 2014

Octorara Area High School Performing Arts Department

 End Notes

I am extremely proud of this production. The quality of the cast, stage crew and staff are outstanding. A truly successful production however, involves more than what is presented on stage. It should not only be an artistic learning experience, but a personal one as well. I am especially proud of the cooperation, mutual respect, the level of commitment, and the teamwork that has been demonstrated by everyone involved in this production. From the beginning planning stages back in October the effort has been a truly collaborative one and credit goes to so many places. Credit goes to Nina, Candice and Jeff for their creative insights and amazing designs; the hours you spent sewing, at thrift shops or hardware stores are truly appreciated. Credit goes to Scott and Sarah for running music rehearsals to blocking to helping with choreography. Credit goes to Jennie for her ability to create amazing choreography for the huge dance numbers. Credit to Meg for helping with the program and getting pictures and bios done. But most of the credit goes to the kids. These students have put egos aside and discovered that whether they have one line or fifty, were on or off stage, that everyone shares equally in the pride and success of such an accomplishment. ~ Joe Lynch

To all our seniors - It's always bittersweet watching your final performances; many of you have put 4 years into this program. I'm proud of you and all the effort you have given to make our productions successful. It will be hard to let you go.
