Notes from the Director:
I haved loved this show since I was a child and am so pleased to have had the opportunity to direct and act along side this brilliant cast.
Approching this show today as adult feels very different from the first time I had the privlidge to work on it as a high school student, and I think that is part of the magic of Into the Woods, we watch these characters, in vastly different stages of life find out what it means to live in a world that isnt always certain. Where wishes are much more complicated than we would like to believe.
Life in the woods is complex. I think we can all find a character in this show to relate to, and the beauty of Sondheim's work is that as we grow and change we will see the layers in each of these characters as they fight to find true fufillment In the Woods.
Working with a student cast and an adult cast was truely a magical expierence, we all were able to learn so much from each other as we put together this magical production.
I am so thankful for the hard work and passion brought by the professionals and students alike. I hope you enjoy your evening in the woods, just remember...
