Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka JR. - June 18

Ohr Chadash Academy

 Director's Letter

Dear Cast,

Wow, it’s been an amazing journey with all of you! We began as acquaintances and are ending as a community. Each and every one of you is so special. You all have such amazing talents and wonderful personalities. Your ingenuity, curiosity, perseverance, and diligence have brought us to this amazing day that will be a memory you can take with you wherever you go. When we began practicing, it was clear that each one of you would become a shining star.
Recently when we finished our first rehearsal at Jemicy, Dale and Brian (Royal Farms Baltimore Arena\ Fliers) shared with me that the day I contacted them Dale’s wife was watching the original Gene Wilder Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie. He said to me “I knew, Henia, that this was meant to be. Even though Brian and I work at the arena, it is just a job. This opportunity is what we really love to do, we love working with kids.” My reply to them was, “everything in life is not a coincidence, everything is from Hashem, and yes this is meant to be.”
It is no coincidence that I have been privileged to get to know each one of you in a special way and I thank you for that.
Today is a first for the OCA Theatrical Society and YOU are making history.

Don’t forget all the chummus, carrots and chips that we absorbed. Standing around the round tables laughing, munching and eating was the best.

Today, it is my privilege to say that you have all grown and are STARS!!

Congratulations and with the warmest wishes,
Morah Henia
