Susan Baer Collins, Dialect Coach, was associated for
27 years with the Omaha Community Playhouse and most
recently served there as the Associate Artistic Director.
She directed many shows which include The Secret
Garden, My Fair Lady, Carousel, Ragtime, Fiddler on the
Roof, Hairspray and Les Misérables. Susan retired from
her full-time position at the Playhouse in June, 2014, but
she continues as a freelance director and theatre artist,
having recently directed the Playhouse production
of Superior Donuts last spring. Next summer, she will direct Much Ado About Nothing for the Nebraska Shakespeare Festival. In addition to a number of awards received for her work as a director and actor, Susan was the recipient of The Omaha Theatre Arts Guild's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. In 2014, she received the Nebraska State Governor's Artist of the Year Award.
Frank Insolera, Set Construction, is back again for
his seventh year as set builder for the musical. He always
enjoys the challenge of designing and constructing large
sets and getting to work with all the theatre students.
Frank is an engineer by trade and works at Offutt AFB.
When not there, he can be found enjoying the company of
friends, working on other theater projects, or working with
the Basset & Beagle Rescue of the Heartland (from which
he's adopted two of his dogs).
Debbie Massey- Schneweis, Choreographer, is excited
to be back as Burke High School's choreographer for her
eleventh consecutive year. She is a well-known dance
teacher and choreographer in Omaha and is currently
resident choreographer for numerous local high schools.
She has studied and performed coast to coast, including a
cruise ship in the Bahamas. Debbie is a familiar face on
local theatre stages and her credits are many. As a
performer she starred in All Shook Up at the Omaha
Community Playhouse as Mayor Matilda Hyde (2011 OEA Best Featured Dancer Nominee), Tessie Tura in Gypsy (TAG Best Featured Actress Nominee and OCP Clarence Teal Award Nominee). Other Playhouse credits include roles in Thoroughly Modern Millie, Guys and Dolls, Chicago, Legally Blonde, and most recently The Drowsy Chaperone. Some of Debbie's recent choreography credits outside of Burke are Crazy for You, Beauty and the Beast, All Shook Up, Hairspray, Singin' In the Rain, Footloose and Mary Poppins. In 2014 Debbie choreographed and starred as Anytime Annie in 42nd Street for the Papillion La Vista Community Theatre (TAG Best Choreographer 2014).
