Director's Note:

"I first read Frankenstein when I was 13. It was Covid and Mary Shelley’s writing helped me cope with the crazy events around me. The second time I read Frankenstein was last year in my AP Literature course class. I knew from that moment on, I wanted to direct it. The challenge was finding the right script. I wanted something that kept Shelley’s story intact yet in a recognizable way to audiences, so I landed on this version. I hope audiences take this show as not just a cautionary tale but as something more. As something that speaks to that tragic little part in us, or that thirst for knowledge and answers we can never quench. In the words of Victor Frankenstein, “The world was to me a secret which I desired to divine.” Though we may never have all the answers, and like Victor we may try nonetheless, I hope this play will inspire an acknowledgment of the unknown."
