Summary
When a down on his luck guy (Falstaff) decides to try his hand at changing his fortunes by wooing two married women (Mistresses Ford and Page), hilarity ensues. The women in question, a couple of well-to-do ladies of society, scheme to turn the tables in this Shakespearean tale of practical jokes and hijinks. With a jealous husband, highly sought after daughters, and a series of characters acting out their own agendas, The Merry Wives of Windsor is a wonderful example of Shakespeare's comedic charm.
Welcome to the Theatre!
The Mustang Theatre Co. is proud to present it's first Shakespeare production. It is my belief that only through the performance of Shakespearen text; it's words spoken aloud in the theatre or classroom, can one come to truly appreaciate and understand the text. It also presents unique challenges for the actors that help them to further their craft, and their knowledge of theatre. Given the opportunity, it is amazing to see these young actors blossom under the weight of so much history. I hope you enjoy the show!
