On behalf of the Otsego Vocal Music Department we would like to thank you for your continued support of the Arts in our community. We are thrilled to bring Annie to life on our stage. We follow little orphan Annie on her journey to find her place in this world. Set in 1933 New York City, we learn that through the struggles in life and the joyful moments we spend with one another- family can be found in unexpected places. Though the Great Depression is in full force and life is not easy, Annie looks to her fellow orphans and the members of Warbucks' household to find the love that she so deserves.
For our own musical family, we want to say that through any struggle you face there will always be someone to help you along the way. It seems that each time we turn around there is yet another negative message or situation. You will be the change. Like Roosevelts New Deal, you have the power to create a positive story. Look for opportunites to be a leader and always reach out to the people around you. You may find that your family continues to grow and that we can all look out for one another.
Thank you to all of our dedicated volunteers for their countless hours of time and energy- we would not have a show without you. Thank you to the cast and crew for all of the hard work you've done over the past several weeks. This is your show- and now it's time for the curtain to rise and for you to shine like the stars each of you are. Our goal has been to show that "Everyone Matters" so take the stage fiercly and have the time of your life! "Family on 3....1, 2, 3 FAMILY!"
Enjoy the show!
