Stephen Cornelius (Lighting Designer) has assisted with lighting setups at Goddard Riverside since 2015. This is his second show with Out of the Box, having recently designed the lighting for Five by Tenn. He has also acted as the Master Electrician for companies including Abingdon Theatre Co., Keen Co., Ma-Yi Theater Co., Prospect Theater Co., Target Margin, Trinity School, and the Cathedral of St. John the Divine. He currently works as an audio-visual technician at Trinity School.

 

Nick Wilson (Sound Designer/Composer) is a singer/songwriter musician born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. He developed a love for music early in his childhood, admiring artists such as Prince, James Brown, Michael Jackson, and Stevie Wonder and bands such as Earth Wind and Fire and Steely Dan. Nick wrote his first song at age 14 and began singing that same year. A self-taught musician, he plays the piano/keyboards, guitar, drums, and the harmonica. He also learned the art of multitrack recording. Nick studied vocal jazz music at Long Island University–Brooklyn Campus. He appeared on TV shows such as It’s Showtime at the Apollo and David Foster’s Star Tomorrow. At the same time, he did performances at music venues such as the Groove, the Soul Cafe, and the Downtown. Nick’s credits as a composer and sound engineer include A Role Once Played, Nat Turner: The Trial, The Trilogy, Cosmic Warrior, and Five by Tenn. Nick’s music can be best described as a blend of jazz fusion, funk-pop, and R&B.

 

Jo DiNozzi (Fight Director) has choreographed shows including A Sketch of New York, Doubt that the Stars Are Fire, Lady Macbeth, Star Wars: The Trade Federation, Duck Hunter Shoots Angel, Mary V, Homage, Lilly Riggs, Satire Off-Broadway, Breakdown, Fool’s Gold, Theophany, and the New York Renaissance Faire. Jo has also assisted Fight Master J. David Brimmer on shows including The Three Musketeers, American (Tele)Visions, Gnit, Target, Wolf Play, Drift, Hamlet, Fairview, Is God Is, Hangmen, Yen, Animal, Artificial Jungle, Samara, ’Tis Pity She’s A Whore, Futurity, and the Broadway productions of American Buffalo, Pass Over, Hangmen, and Be More Chill.

 

Kevin E. Thompson (Stage Manager) has stage managed over 75 professional dramatic, musical, and opera productions throughout his career. He has also directed over 50 productions nationwide. A lifelong theater artist, he has taught, managed actor careers, designed for film, and choreographed events. He is also the author of Etchings on Angel Wings, and Extolling the Ordinary, both available through Amazon Press. He is currently co-adapting a play based on the life of labor activist Mother Jones. AEA.

 

Sanath Wijeratne (Properties Manager) has worked with the Out of the Box Theatre Company productions since 2016. He has assisted backstage on many occasions and worked as the properties manager on their last production, Five by Tenn. He is a banker by profession and a ballroom dance instructor in one of the studios in New York. He also sings in a religious choir group in New York. He has worked as a coordinator and an assistant choreographer for many model contest productions in Sri Lanka.

 

Michelle Tabnick Public Relations (Publicist) provides public relations services for arts organizations in the tri-state area, with a primary focus on dance, theater, and opera. The company creates PR strategies with the goals of promoting the client’s brand image, building ticket sales, and reaching target audiences, with specific focus on integrated marketing campaigns.
