When young performers step onto a stage, something special happens. They discover courage, creativity, and the joy of working together to tell a story. Watching that growth has been one of the greatest gifts of this production, and for many of these students it is their first time performing on a stage like this.
This musical has been a true community effort. With 78 students in the cast, it has taken the support of many dedicated parents, teachers, school staff, community members, alumni, and volunteers to bring this show to life. This production also marks the fourth year of PacRim’s theatre program, which began thanks to the vision and dedication of Alexa Barlow! We are so grateful for the foundation she created for our students and our community.
We are also especially thankful to the incredibly talented staff at the Performing Arts Center at Sage Creek for their guidance and for allowing us to perform in their beautiful theatre.
I would also like to thank our producer and stage manager, Kevin Newton; our choreographers, Courtney Bowen, Natalie Lilly, and Cortney Bohling; and our coordinator and communications chair, Amanda Kranz-Perez, whose creative vision, steady leadership, and countless hours behind the scenes helped make this production possible.
Most of all, I am incredibly proud of these students. I hope they carry the confidence and friendships they’ve built here long after the final curtain.
