Allyson Boylan
Director / Prop Design
This is Allyson Boylan’s sixth year at Palm Springs HS as theatre director for the PSHS Theatre Company (Troupe #6219). Allyson received her BA and MA in theatre from UCLA’s School of Theatre, Film, and Television. Allyson won a Desert Theatre League award for Outstanding Director of a Youth Musical for PSHS’s 2018 production of Bye Bye Birdie, the 2017 production of Annie and the 2015 production of Fiddler on the Roof and has been nominated for many other DTL awards for other PSHS productions such as Go Ask Alice, Rehearsal for Murder and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown. Allyson is currently an adjunct professor in theatre for COD and serves on their film school’s advisory board. Allyson has previously worked at Universal Motion Pictures casting, MTV Programming, and served as a production assistant for Karma Kollective. Allyson has previously directed David and Lisa, Twelve Angry Jurors, Almost Maine, You Can’t Take It With You, and All In the Timing.

Rory Pratt
Set Design
Rory Pratt has been a General Contractor for the past twenty-nine years specializing in unique remodeling. He has been a high school shop teacher for the past fourteen years. “Nothing prepares students for the obstacles and challenges they will face in life more than learning to work with their hands.” Rory has really enjoyed working with the theater students to build the sets for this play and seeing them increase in their confidence and skills using tools. Rory currently teaches welding here at Palm Springs High School and works diligently to “close the skills gap.” Rory has also received two Desert Theatre League awards for his set designs for Bye Bye Birdie (2018) and Annie (2017).

Nayeli Jimenez
Assistant Director / Lighting Designer
Nayeli is currently a senior at Palm Springs High School and is a member of the Theatre Company. Nayeli is currently the head of our lighting department and is excited to be tackling assistant directing this year. Nayeli won a Desert Theatre League award for her lighting design in our award winning musical Annie in 2017. Nayeli is sad that this will be her last production with the company, but she is excited to see it all come together and she is extremely proud of everyone involved with this production. She is a lighting queen.
