Director’s Note

Happy Holidays everyone!

Welcome to The Christmas Spirit, a delightful, lighthearted comedy about two of the hardest things we have to deal with in life: Death and Family. Our families have such a wonderful way of getting under our skin, especially siblings and our parents. Unfortunately, we sometimes allow those peccadillos affect our relationships with our families to such a degree that we damage those relationships. All year round, not just around this time of year, we need to take a step back and really accept those people that aggravate us, and recognize what it is that is really bothering us, maybe we are filtering our view because of something within, and not something that others are doing. If I can get along with my sister as an adult after all of the torture she put me through growing up, then I think anyone can reconcile with any family member. And I can honestly say, as the younger sibling, it was always her fault.

So, this holiday season, focus on the good things in your lives and try to have some good, quality family time. Not just with the family that you were born with, but your chosen family. Keep your tribe close around you, and try to find some goodness in the world.

Happy Holidays everyone! I don’t care what holiday you are celebrating, I just hope it is a pleasant one.
