Sophie Sam
Director
Sophie Sam (she/her/hers) is an Upper Michigan based director currently attending Northern Michigan University. She is an alumna of the National Theater Institute, having attended their Theatermakers Summer Intensive in 2020. She has directed or assisted on productions with several groups across the UP.
Always looking for new perspectives and to stay inspired, she was a Production Assistant intern at Live Design International (LDI) in 2019. An actress as well on occasion, you can catch her in the award winning webseries Northbound, which is currently in production for its third and final season.
Her main pursuit as a director is to work on pieces by living playwrights that elevate the voices of the LGBTQIA+ community. OPEN is Sophie’s New York premiere, and she couldn’t be more thrilled to be making it happen with Party Claw Productions.
