Pearland Little Theatre

  Director's Notes

This is Pearland Little Theatre’s second show, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Beyond putting on a show worth seeing, I like to look at what we have learned from our time. I have learned more about managing a theater company, cast parents have learned how to be costumers and set builders, and the kids have learned more about their castmates and about assuming character roles. I feel that we've all grown another inch emotionally after this semester.

Community theatre really takes a village, sometimes two villages! It takes people passionate about our children and passionate about theatre itself. Pearland Little Theatre's decision to rent theater facilities at San Jacinto College South not only provided us with a great facility opportunity, but we've also benefitted from collaborating with Frank Vela, our theatre contact at San Jac, and Jamie Williams, our choreographer and a dance professor here at the college. Both individuals have impressed me with their interest in our show and with their willingness to make themselves available to assist with our efforts.

Thanking every individual involved in the show can be an arduous task. From the small tasks to the large, children and parents alike, thank you for your time and effort!

Whether you willingly bought a ticket, or someone bought you a ticket and told you when to show up, thank you for coming. From the first audition, we have been thinking about you and planning this show for you. We hope that you enjoy it as much as we have enjoyed rehearsing it.

Sincerely,
