Ben Wallace
as Billy Bigelow
Ben Wallace completed his Honours Bachelor of Music at Laurier last April, where he studied voice performance with Leslie Fagan. Next year, he will continue his studies with Wendy Nielsen in the University of Toronto opera program. Recent solo performances include Brahms’ Ein deutsches Requiem (Symphony in the Barn), Duruflé’s Requiem (Grand Philharmonic Choir), Handel’s Messiah (Menno Singers), Barone Douphol/Dottore Grenvil in Verdi’s La traviata (KW Symphony), and John Brooke in Adamo’s Little Women (Opera Laurier). Ben has served as the music director for both Royal City Musical Productions (Matilda/Cabaret) and The Downtown Theatre Project (Last Five Years/Company). He formed his own KW-based choral and chamber ensemble in 2022 and has since conducted premiere performances of Justin Lapierre’s Messe de Ste. Anne and Stabat Mater, with plans for a third collaboration in June 2024.

Piper J. Distel (she/her) is a queer, neurodivergent multidisciplinary theatre artist and educator. Select credits include Jerusha (Daddy Long Legs), Anne Frank (The Diary of Anne Frank), Jo March (Little Women), Babette (Beauty and the Beast), Rapunzel (Into the Woods), Eponine (Les Miserables), Emily (Our Town.) Piper is the 2014 recipient of the Bernice Adams Award for Outstanding Youth in the Arts and the 2022 City of Cambridge Youth Award for Artistic Development.
