SYNOPSIS
It’s Christmas Eve and Ebony (Ebenezer Scrooge) has scheduled all employees to work til closing at the Starlucks Coffee Shop. Although Roberta (Bob Cratchit) is disappointed, she works happily til the store is closed so that she can go to the church youth Christmas party with her friend and Ebony’s cousin, Clarice (Tiny Tim) and Marla (Jacob Marly), Ebony’s former roommate.
Three adorable strangers appear in Ebony’s office asking for donations for the Orphan Angel Tree. Ebony scoffs their audacious request and throws them out.
Later, as Ebony works alone in the empty coffee shop, she is visited by the ghost of Marla’s past who warns her that if she does not put charity, mercy and mankind above her love of money and work, she, too, will be burdened with the chains of loneliness and pain. She urges Ebony to take a different path like she did the year prior and accept Christ into her heart.
Michael, the Archangel, sends three special angels on assignment to show Ebony the truth.
Christmas Past:
At 1:00am Faith, the adorable, crazy, flying 1980s Angel of Christmas Past, crash lands into Starlucks to swoop Ebony off to two painful, yet revelatory memories: her foster mom’s house where they overhear her foster mom and sister’s conversation at Christmas Eve dinner, and Ebony and Marla’s apartment as Marla is having a small dinner party just before moving to NYC.
Christmas Present:
At 2:00am Charity, the southern belle Angel of Christmas Present, takes Ebony to the church youth Christmas party where Roberta and Marla, with her new perspective on life, pray for healing for Clarice’s bone cancer and Ebony’s broken heart.
Christmas Future:
At 3:00pm Mac, short for Makas (Hope in Hebrew), the Angel of Christmas Future, safely and efficiently flies Ebony to visit the unfortunate possible future without Clarice if Ebony does not treat others and herself with kindness.
Back at Starlucks, Ebony awakens Christmas morning energized and forever changed inside just in time to ask her foster mom for forgiveness and so much more before returning to Starlucks to share her good news and celebrate the true meaning of Christmas.
