Mean Girls High School Version - May 22

Pierre Elliot Trudeau High School

 End Notes

Words from our Director:

Maya Boyd-Navazo feels fortunate every day to have begun her teaching career at Pierre Elliott Trudeau high school fourteen years ago. This is Ms. Boyd-Navazo’s fifth experience Directing and Producing a full length Musical at PETHS. She is thrilled to be producing Mean Girls High School Version, a story coupled with heart and brutal hilarity. Ms. Boyd-Navazo fell in love with Theatre Arts at a very young age and pursued her passion obtaining a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Performance Acting at Toronto Metropolitan University. Her love of Theatre and passion for Teaching came together quickly and she considers herself a lifelong learner, especially alongside her innovative students. She is most proud of the talented, hard working, passionate Drama students that have made this fierce and lovable story come to life. She is most thankful to her dedicated teaching collaborators, Ms Stevenson, Ms. McGibbon, Ms. So and Ms. Dagenais who fearlessly made our vision come to life with their Musical Direction, Choreography and Creativity. She would also like to express her gratitude to all of her wonderful, supportive colleagues at PETHS and to her most amazing parents Pamela and Jesus and loving family and friends she is so fortunate to have. Finally, Ms. Boyd-Navazo dedicates this show to her three young and remarkable children Ayla, Vidal and Odon who she feels most inspired by to be the very best version of herself every day.
