Plum Point Middle School

 End Notes

Notes from the Directors:

Thank you very much for supporting our students by coming to see the show. We were very excited to perform a classic musical for you this year. The students learned a lot about the world Charles Dickens portrayed in this show. Many fully embraced a cockney accent for their role, which they really enjoyed practicing. They also especially enjoyed rehearsing the pub scene :)

Due to sharing space at the school, we are not able to get on our stage until March and only rehearse three days a week with just two weeks of tech before the show, so it was a lot of choreography and blocking to learn in that short amount of time for these young performers. They rose to the challenge!
We are grateful for our amazing 8th graders that have done a great job, on and off the stage, including stage managing and running the sound board. We wish them all the best as they hopefully continue their theater journey in high school.
We also have a strong group of 6th and 7th graders that we hope to continue to work with here at PPMS. Stay tuned for what we have coming next year :)
We are always working to improve our program. If you have talents to share on or back stage and are looking for a way to give back to the performing arts community, please reach out to eversolec@calvertnet.k12.md.us. We welcome new volunteers!

Thank you again for coming!
