Sister Act Jr. - March 06 - March 08, 2025

Pope John Paul II Regional School

 End Notes

A Note from the Director

Although the movie Sister Act came out when I was only five years old, I remember how excited my Nana and my Mom were. This movie highlighted two major parts of their life: Catholicism and Motown music. It's mainly because of them that I am who I am today: a Catholic Music Teacher (who loves Mowtown).

When I first looked at this show, I was a little intimidated by how much music there was and the intensity of it. I almost passed on it, but knew deep down that if any group of students could pull this off musically, it was the one I currently had. This group has A LOT of vocal talent! Proof of that is one of them receiving the Pope St. John Paul II music scholarship to Bishop Shanahan High School: Katelyn Kelly. She is our school's second recipient of this scholarship in the last three years!

I am so incredibly proud of this group's hardwork and dedication to our show this year. I know a few of them were concerned with putting it together in our timeline, but we pulled it off!

Parents, thank you for encouraging your child's participation in our musical theater program. There might be another future scholarship winner in our midst!

Lastly, I'd like to dedicate our performance this year to my mom, Nancy Williams, who passed away this past July. She would have loved this show.

Enjoy!
