Way back in 2021, we did "12 Angry Jurors" as our spring production.  I enjoyed that show a lot, but some of the kids have nightmares about it to this day.  You see, at the start of Act II, the actors forgot some lines.  The only lines they could remember were from Act III, and just like that, they had skipped several pages of the script.  Pages that contained vital information for the audience.  I was playing the court bailif in the show, so I had no other choice but to enter the "jury room" and call for a recess.  Tech went to "blackout" and the curtain closed while the cast looked over the script to find where they had gotten off track.  The show resumed and all was fine.  To this day, we still tell our new actors about the time "12 Angry Jurors" skipped 20 pages of dialogue.  Here's hoping the same doesn't happen on "12 Incompetent Jurors".  If it does, its the last courtroom play we'll ever do, cause they're cursed.

Though I'm happy to have had the opportunity to produce two courtroom plays ("12 Angry Jurors" & "12 Incompetent Jurors"), I am still waiting for a stage adapation of the 1995 comedy classic "Jury Duty" starring the great Paulie Shore.  Its the heartwarming tale of an ordinary man who is called to serve on a jury and is sequestered in a fancy hotel.  Not wanting his hotel stay to end, he holds up deliberations in the jury room.  I'm also hoping other Paulie Shore movies get adpated to stage, including "Bio-Dome", "Son-in-Law" and "In the Army Now". As Paulie would say, "OWWWWWWW, Bud-dy!"
