The Addams Family - March 23 - March 25, 2018

Potosi High

   Co-Director's Notes

Duh nuh nuh nuh (snap snap) Duh nuh nuh nuh (snap snap)...duh nuh nuh nuh...duh nuh nuh nuh...duh nuh nuh nuh (snap snap)...ok..EVERYBODY!..

Oh, wait..this is supposed to be a letter?

Ok..anyway, to possibly find a way to put into words of how I feel about this cast is impossible. However, a few come to mind: AMAZING, OUTSTANDING, FABULOUS, TALENTED, KIND, BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL, AND ..did I say amazing?

This has been the best thing I have ever put my name on, and watching what they have created is simply..well, indescribable. To the seniors, you will be missed and the legacy you have created will live on. To the underclassmen, stick with us and see what we come up with next!  You all have a special place in my heart, and you make coming to work fun. So let’s all give them a HAND because the THING they have accomplished is worth all the SNAPS and claps that we can give.

God Bless and Thank you!

Mrs. Lewis

Dear Audience,

The time has flown by in the preparation of today's performance.  With the play three weeks earlier than normal, it has been a challenge to make all the pieces fit together.  However, with some old and new helpful hands here in the Potosi R-3 staff, I believe one of the most challenging shows that we have ever tried to do will be pulled off!  Without this help, the show would have been practically impossible to do so we are ever grateful and thankful.  Having grown up watching shows like The Munsters and The Addams Family as a kid, it has been a blast incorporating that nostalgia into a modern day musical.  The kids you see before you acting or represented by the work displayed in today's performance have worked their tails off.  They are well deserving of all the honor and praise they get because they really are a great group of students.  I am also blest to work with a great co-director on the musicals and God knows that I need her 'red' personality to counter act my 'green' personality! You have a beautiful soul.
Thespian Senior(s):  My pride for you is overflowing. Thank you for the many hours of hard work that has been sacrificed here.  Also thank you for understanding that when I said 'run that scene one more time', you knew that never actually meant 'one more time', but as many times as it took to get it right.  In life, always strive to have the strength to do things until you get it right.  You will get much farther in life that way and be happier in the process:)

Now audience, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

Sincerely,
Mrs. Segura
