 Meet the Ladies 

Jennifer Duck: Jenny is a native of Mississippi and has worked at the Westhaven Commercial and Industrial Bank for 3 years.  She was named valedictorian of Westhaven Senior High School, Class of 2009.  She studied Accounting at Jackson State University for one year.  Before becoming a bank teller, Jenny worked as a youth minister at Gridley Southern Baptist Church and a secretary for Legacy Strategy Group.  She resided in Westhaven with her boyfriend, Oren, and dog, Indy.

 

Delores Bogatin, a recent widow and 13-year veteran at the Westhaven Commercial and Industrial Bank, has resided in Jackson Mississippi most of her life. She moved to the small suburb of Westhaven after graduating from the local community college where she met her husband Roland. Delores spent the first 18 years of marriage as a homemaker while working a few hours a week at Hana laundry. At 40 Delores had to seek full time employment, while doing banking forHana laundry shediscovered and secured a position at the bank. Delores is a well-known and beloved volunteer in the community. One of her favorite organizations is Stewpot; assisting with reading and literacy. You can find Delores most evenings and weekends at either a local soup kitchen or one of her many church groups that she spearheads.

 

Twyla Tobias was born Twyla Hicky in 1985 to Jet and Patricia Hicky. Through her parents she was exposed to many forms of music of their time period, however it was from her grandfather that she began learned to play the banjo. She was crowned Little Miss Magnolia State at the age of seventeen. Her plans for stardom took a back seat when she met Davin Tobias. They married after graduating high school and soon had a son Hicky Herbert.

 

Lulu Belle Jones - I always wanted to sing and dance on the stage. But marriage and children led me to PA and away from my dream.I am now single and a grandma and cleaning for a living.  Every day I try to find a way to get back to the stage.  I do believe dreams come true!!

 

Betina Embrey is a life-long resident of Mississippi. As a 2006 graduate of Presley High school she has worked in many places including the Piggly Wiggly and Hardies before landing her teller job at the Westhaven Commercial and Industiral Bank. Betina is the 5-time-winner of the annual wet t-shirt contest at The Spur and Saddle and can be found most evenings dancing the night away at Cotton Eye Joe’s. She’s still single fellas, but you may have to wait in line!

 

Lorene Lee: Lorene is a 2004 graduate of   Madison Central High School, where she finished in the top ten of her class. Lorene attended Mississippi State University as a business/management major. Unfortunately she did not graduate, having only completed two years. After leaving MSU, Lorene got a job as a teller at Westhaven Commercial and Industrial bank, where she has been head teller for three of six years. On a relaxing evening at home, Lorene loves to curl up with a nice romance novel and her dog Twinkie.
