Heathers: Live! - January 16

Raffaele Theatrical Productions LLC

 A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR

This has truly been an unforgettable experience. At a first glance, Heathers appears raunchy and dark, but when you dig a little deeper, it offers a message that is powerful and timeless. Heathers teaches us the dangers of losing yourself for popularity and power--a theme more prevalent today than ever. If you take nothing else away from the show, I hope you learn that being yourself, having a friend who loves you for you the way you are, and being a decent human being is worth far more than having lunch at the popular table, being the quarterback of the football team, or going out to parties every weekend. Quality over quantity. Be you because you are more than enough.

To start, I would like to thank David for everything he does for all of us here at Raffaele Productions. We call him an angel because that is what he is. Thank you, David, for always having our back. Next, I would like to thank Mike and Chris. You both have helped take this show to the next level, providing us with this incredible set, this immaculate theatre, and helping guide us, business wise, along the way. Thank you! Next, a very special thank you to Amber for all of your work with construction and tech. Thank you to Connor and Jacob for your sound and lighting design. You are both insanely talented and I am so grateful to have gotten a chance to work with you on this production. A very special thank you to Ani and Rene for all you work with makeup. You are true artists and your talent did not go unnoticed. Thank you to Jordan for being an intricate part of our team. You are the best property mistress we have ever had! It was such a pleasure working with you! Thank you to Ed Huether and the entire team at id Unleashed Productions. You have made our wildest dreams come true. We felt like stars on a live TV musical because of you. Thank you for all that you have done! A very special thank you to Gianna Yanelli for joining us during our tech rehearsal and guest directing. It was such a pleasure having you on the team for a day and learning from a Broadway professional! You’re a dream!

To my incredible cast—there are no words to describe the immense amount of pride that I feel. I think we had maybe six rehearsals before tech week. I am beyond proud and impressed at how this show turned out. You are all so incredibly talented and capable of so much. Besides your talent, I must commend you on you kindness and genuine hearts. This has been such a beautiful experience because of the way you have all treated one another. I don't think I have ever laughed this much in my life. Thank you for making these past few months and this last week one of the best experiences of my life. I have loved working with every single one of you. I truly hope I get to work with you all again. Break legs tonight!
