Ashley Basile Set Design
Ashley received her degree in Set Design at Mason Gross of the Arts at Rutgers University. Her credits include: Skeleton Crew directed by Othell Miller, Thinkery & Verse’s Thou Shalt Not, Dionysus in America, as well as the New York and Scotland Fringe Debut of The Bride of the Gulf, and Jesus Christ SuperStar at The Algonquin Arts Theatre.
Erin Ciallella Costume Design
This is Mrs. Ciallella’s first production as Costumer for RBRTC and she is excited to be working with such a talented group of people. She worked backstage with many companies, including Woodbridge Community Players, George Street Playhouse, and Livingston Theater Company. Currently, she is RBR's Speech Language Therapist.
Carl Grillo Technical Director
Carl has been at RBR since 1999. He studied Technology Education at Trenton State College and has a Masters of Instructional Technology from Georgian Court College. He has been Technical Director since 2007, and teaches the Stage Technology Class and the Interactive Media Academy. Carl trains students to operate the light and sound boards, and work running crew. With the help of his students, Carl has had Basie Awards nominations for his work on the sets, with one win.
Francis Hankins Master Carpenter, Sound & Lights Advisor
Francis graduated from RBR's VPA program in 1985 as a Television Production Major. He’s been involved with stage crew since 1981 and has been working on RBRTC productions since Beauty and the Beast (2008) He is a member of IATSE, (International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees), and is currently serving as the head electrician at the PNC Arts Center.
Reuben Jackson Director
Reuben (actor, writer, director) received his BFA in Drama from The Juilliard School (1997) and an MFA at Columbia University School of the Arts (2007) in playwriting, where he received The William Shelly Fellowship and The Howard Stein Fellowship in playwriting. He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA. His Theater/Film/TV acting credits include: Henry VIII(The NYSF The Public Theater at The Delacorte),The Lion in Winter (Broadway, The Roundabout Theater Co.),The Alchemist (Classic Stage Company) Women. War. Comedy. (Theater for a New City), A Midsummer Night's Dream (Shakespeare Festival of St. Louis), The Tempest (The PlayMakers Repertory Co.), Carol Mulroney (The Huntington), The Taking of Pelham 123, Celebrity, Blazin', Law & Order, Third Watch, Whoopi, Linc's, Bridget, One Life To Live (recurring), and As The World Turns (recurring). He was featured in the title role of "Shogun Macbeth," for PBS. His other works include "The Sleeping Man," and "Blood and Coffee in the City of Wisdom" and "Cool Planet," a sci-fi satire that was produced by The Blue Box Theater Co. and had its premiere at The Flea Theater in NYC. Reuben was a 2015 teaching artist in theater arts for STEP: Student Theater Enrichment Program at The Cleveland Public Theater. He directed "Amadeus," "Fiddler on the Roof,"“The Crucible", “Kismet", “Macbeth,” “Into the Woods,” “The Diary of Anne Frank,” and “The Music Man,” for RBRTC. He has directed "The Colored Museum," by George C. Wolfe at the Columbia University Lerner Blackbox and "Blood & Coffee," at The Schapiro Theater at Columbia University. He was a member of the 1983 inaugural class at RBR School of The Performing Arts as a creative writing student.
Kathleen Pearlberg Choreographer
(Choreographer) Kathleen is a classical ballet teacher at Dance For Joy studio in Brielle. She was a professional ballerina with the New Jersey Ballet Company for 16 years. She appeared in Algonquin Arts productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Annie Get your Gun, Spamalot, Damn Yankees and Kiss Me Kate. Choreography credits include Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Peter Pan, Jesus Christ Superstar, Fiddler on the Roof and The Music Man.
