This production of A Midsummer Night's Dream has truly exemplified the RPA motto, "we are one," as, in this troupe of high school and middle school theatre artists, we not only have actors, but also singers, hip hop dancers, painters, prop-makers, and ballerinas. To me, this production has just scratched the surface of the beauty of collaborative theatre when it truly incorporates our students' many talents. I am incredibly proud and thankful for the student work on this show. These twenty-plus students were not daunted by, but thrilled at the prospects of RPA's first ever Shakespearean production. Their love and enthusiasm made every rehearsal something to eagerly await.
Beyond the work, to drawn on Puck's line, "while these visions did appear," this production quickly entered all hands on deck mode, as our new space opened just this month. In true "the show must go on" spirit, our ensemble worked together to bring Central Oregon to the stage. Most Oregonians know the magic that our wilderness brings, so it seemed only fitting that our beloved Central Oregon would set the stage for this magical comedy.
Thank you for joining us this evening.
To the cast and crew, "thanks, and thanks; And ever thanks."
