The Drowsy Chaperone -

Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts

 End Notes

Note from the Director

As silly and fun as this musical is, it really gets down to the heart of what musical theatre is all about; sitting in a dark theatre and letting your cares and worries melt away as you are transported to a fantastical world were everything does work out in the end. Not only does this musical-within-a-musical offer numerous acting, singing and dancing challenges for our students, it also gives them the chance to discover firsthand the gift that performing a show is. This show would not have been possible without the time and talents of so many, especially our dedicated administration and amazing new members of the Arts Dept! It has been a pleasure working with you all to put on this show. Musicals and performing have always been there for me, helping me get through the darkest, longest or just most mundane days and it is my pleasure to help bring this notion the students of Repertory and to you, our audience. It is my sincere hope that you take the next ninety minutes to forget about how awful the MTA was getting here, or how terrible your day may have been earlier and lose yourself in the opulent world of our 1920’s musical, The Drowsy Chaperone.

Note from the Administration

Dear Parents, Friends, Relatives and Guests,

We are thrilled to present this year's Fall Musical, The Drowsy Chaperone.  As an administration, we are so proud of the hard work and sacrifice that the students, teachers, staff and invited guests have put into this production.  Credit is due in particular to Mr. Morrow, Ms. Berger, Ms. Asher, Mr. Fram and Mr. McIntosh for their roles in creating the magic you see before you tonight.  At Repertory, we strive to teach students to put their best effort forward whether they are performing on stage, backstage or in the classroom.  This production of Drowsy represents the best of what our school is all about.  Congratulations to all involved.
