Reservoir Theatre is thrilled to present CHICAGO as the spring production of our 2023-2024 Theatre Season. This iconic show holds the record as the longest-running musical on Broadway, and it's been an honor to dive into its world of razzle-dazzle and satire.
Exploring the 1920s Vaudevillian era and the pursuit of fame has been both exhilarating and challenging. It's important to note that while our characters may seek the spotlight at any cost, we, as a production team and theatre community, do not endorse their values. This production serves as a satirical commentary on the pursuit of fame without moral boundaries.
I'm delighted to collaborate once again with our exceptional production design team, including: Dr. Greg Knauf (Music Director & Technical Director), John Lee (Set Designer), Kim Murray (Costume Designer & Props Master), Rachel Kemp & Patricia Targete (choreographers). Additionally, I extend a warm welcome to our guest director, Jenna Antoniades, an alumna of Reservoir Theatre. Together with our dedicated cast, crews, and volunteers, we've poured our hearts into bringing this show to life.
As I prepare for maternity leave in early March, I'm confident that the production is in capable hands to see it through to the finish line. Theatre is a magical journey fueled by creativity and hard work, and I'm continually inspired by the dedication of our team.
I want to express my gratitude to everyone involved, especially our seniors who've dedicated years to our Theatre Program. Your tireless efforts have brought CHICAGO to fruition, and I'm immensely proud of what we've achieved together.
