  • Cliff McClelland

    Director

    Cliff McClelland has taught theatre for 27 years, 20 of which has been at RHS with the magnet. He has written thirty plays, seventeen screenplays, a novel, and directed two feature films. McClelland has his Master's degrees in the Humanities and wants to thank his family, his team, and his students for inspiring him every day to get out of bed and believe in goodness and love.

  • Lindy Perez

    Music Director

    Lindy Perez is in her 33rd year of teaching in RISD, 20 as the RHS choir director.  She received the UIL Sponsor of Excellence Award in 2014 and was selected 4 times as the Most Influential Teacher by top ten RHS grads. She won best music direction at DSM HS Awards in 2012 for Anything Goes and is the director of the All District Elementary Choir, which has been invited to perform twice at TMEA.

  • Jesus Marquez

    Conductor

    Jesus Marquez started his teaching career at Richardson High School in 2011, where he serves as Director of Bands, Chair of the Music Department and Fine Arts Coordinator. Under his direction, the Musical Pit Orchestra has been nominated twice for Best Orchestra by the Dallas Summer Musicals (Shrek 2014, Hello Dolly! 2017). Mr. Marquez resides with his wife, Ashley and puppy, Baylee in Allen, TX.

  • Alexis Suggitt

    Scenic Designer

    Alexis Suggitt is the latest addition to the RISD Magnet Theatre team. Mrs. Suggitt attended Drake University for her undergraduate degree and California School of the Arts for her Master's Degree with an emphasis in scenic painting. She prefers Behr paint over all other brands, and because she mentions that, RHS gets a really good price on it.

  • Donny Covington

    Technical Director

    Donny Covington is a Dallas native with years of experience in DFW theater. He serves as the Managing Producer at the Margo Jones Theater in Fair Park, and is an Artistic Director for Nouveau 47 Theatre. He has worked for many local theater companies in Technical Direction, Scenic Construction, Properties, and Lighting. He works as a tireless advocate for new theater in Dallas and abroad.
