Growing up with tales of enchantment, where good triumphs over evil and heroes have super powers that can save the world - How could I not?
Together with my incredible creative team, cast and crew we invite you to experience magic as you enter the wizarding world.
Puffs, Or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic by Matt Cox is a comedic retelling of the books-that-shall-not-be-named, as told through the lens of the (Huffle)Puff house.
These quirky, lovable underdogs lead us along their coming-of-age journey from sorting to skirmish and sorcery. Matt Cox has said that at its core Puffs is “simply a story about growing up. It's about feeling your life isn't as important as others around you. We call it 'a story for everyone never destined to save the world.' Which pretty much everyone can relate to.”
Perhaps we have all felt dismissed or cast aside. Maybe we have lived in the shadows of someone else’s light. Yet, as the ("Second") Headmaster says, “it is very easy to feel like you're only a secondary character in someone else's grand story. That does not mean, however, there isn't another story out there that's all about you."
So, we bring this story, your story, to life. It's a tale where you are at the center. In the spotlight. Seen, celebrated, loved and accepted for who you truly are.
How fitting that this is the very mission of Ridgefield High School Theatre!
Because the real magic is in the belonging.
