    Dr. Andrea Decker

    Musical Director

    Dr. Decker recently defended her dissertation and earned her Doctorate in Enthomusicology- as a Gluck Fellow and a Fullbright Fellow, she studied musical culture in Indonesia.  Dr. Decker holds degrees from Utah State University (where she graduted Summa Cum Laude), and is currently working on her Masters in Library Science with the goal of becoming a Music Librarian. She has been the Music Director for two other Poly shows, Clue and The Addams Family. Her many performing credits include playing the Nightingale of Samarkand in a production of Once Upon a Mattress!

    Music Support/Scene Director

    Kristen is the Poly Choir director, where she teaches piano, Concert Choir and Show Choir, as well as the audition-based honor choirs, Bella Voce and Chamber Singers. She received her BA in Music Education at CSUF, and she is currently working on her Masters in Music in Choral Conducting at California Baptist University. Ms. Walton has sung with Pacific Chorale and the Chorale Arts Initiative. In addition, she was named RUSD Teacher of the Year for 2020-2021. She has been very excited to help bring this show to life here at Poly, as she performed the role of Lady Larken, with our own Mr. Adam Bicksler as her Sir Harry. Her favorite role, however, is as Weston Walton’s mom!

    Producer/Director

    This is the 52nd year that Mr. MarkerMorse has been active on the stage. He has been the Theatre Arts director for Poly for ten years. He is also the theatre arts teacher at Central Middle School. He spent 20 years as an elementary school teacher, at Bryant and Magnolia here in Riverside, where he was named RUSD Teacher of the Year in 1995 and 2010.  He has directed and or produced over 100 shows, from elementary school productions to college and community shows. Local acting roles include Dr. Danvers Carew in Jekyll and Hyde and Richard in Moon Over Buffalo, both at Riverside Community Players. Previous roles include Jacob in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Uncle Wes in Footloose, Gremio in Taming of the Shrew and The Reverend Marshal in  The Foreigner.
