    Chris Wade, Musical Director

Chris is proud of the work displayed here by RUSD young stage professionals-to-be, whose personal journeys of hard work, passion and dedication - to learn the components of this great musical - mirror those of the on-stage characters they represent. Chris is also delighted to be involved again, here at The Fox for the 2nd Honors Musical - after last year's inaugural Such Sweet Sorrow (Music and Book Writer, Music Direction). An alum of North High School, Chris has played piano for many musical productions in RUSD including A Chorus Line (North HS, dir Michelle Grotness), recent Addams Family, Hairspray, and more. Chris is a working professional in stage and commercial music production in LA and NYC. Big thanks to Annemarie and RUSD, Michelle, Hannah, Janie and the student cast and musicians (and parents!). www.chriswademusic.com

  • Michelle Grotness, Director head shot

    Michelle Grotness, Director

Michelle is a "retired" RUSD Theatre Teacher having taught for 31 years at North High School. She continues to enjoy working with young artists.  It was her privilege to direct the inaugural Honors Musical, Such Sweet Sorrow, and she was thrilled to be asked to direct the second, A Chorus Line-High School Edition. Michelle is Vice President/Director of Artistic Development for the Riverside Community Players and works with other local community theaters both onstage and backstage. Michelle has been inspired by the students' fearlessness as they have prepared to perform this life changing show, and has been amazed at the endless energy of her creative team, Hannah, Janie, Annemarie, and former student and friend Chris Wade.
