DIRECTOR'S NOTE
First, thank you for coming and supporting live theatrical arts and these amazingly talented performers. I have no doubt that over the next few years you will see these students on stages all across the state of Utah.
Not only are these students talented, they are kind and supportive on and off-stage. There is so much that goes into this revue long before you see the final performance tonight. Student's began working on this show in June of 2018 (right after we got back from our trip to NYC) with Nathan Balsar from BYU on our opening number. During the months of September and October, we listened to 78 solos performed in class (each MDT student sings 3 solos in class)-- we could have 3 seperate nights of performances with just these solos! Students then perform assigned duets/trios and quartets while also working on group songs (while also learning the school musical IN THE HEIGHTS). Choreographers come in an accomplish is 3 hours what would normally take much longer.
A huge thank you to parents for supporting your students love of performing by getting them to rehearsals and helping your child be prepared. They are a fantastic group of young people that you should be very proud of.
