Scott Harris
Director
is the Theatre Director at Rye Neck High School. Scott began acting his freshman year of high school when he decided to try out for the musical. After graduating from Penn State University, he began his career as a professional actor, performing in musicals and plays all over the country, including national tours, regional theatre, and Off-Broadway in NYC. He has appeared in TV shows, feature films, and commercials. He is a member of Actors Equity, the Dramatists Guild, and the Screen Actors Guild. He made the leap from acting to teaching several years ago when he received his Masters degree in Theatre/Playwriting, and is thrilled to be in his third year as part of the wonderful Rye Neck school district, where he teaches multiple acting courses, technical Theatre, Art of Argument, is the Chorus director, the Thespians advisor, and the A Cappella advisor. In fall 2014 Scott began the Fall Play initiative at Rye Neck.
Michael Mastroianni
Music Director/Pit Conductor
is thrilled to be working on his 5th production of Into the Woods. Michael has worked on countless productions in and around Westchester as music director, musician & orchestrator. He is a music director for the teen program at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre, and also serves as music director and orchestrator for Port Chester High School's annual spring musical. Recent music direction credits include Miss Saigon, Les Miserables, RENT, Avenue Q & Seussical; pit credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Gypsy, The Wiz, Next to Normal, as well as Shrek & The Music Man here at Rye Neck. Michael has also served as a music contractor, assistant, and copyist on various shows, teaches/music directs theatre classes with Artistree Performing Arts, and serves as choral accompanist for Blind Brook Middle & High Schools.
