  • Scott Harris

    Director

    is the Theatre Director at Rye Neck High School. Scott began acting when he tried out for the musical Sugar as a high school freshman. After graduating from Penn State University, he became a professional actor, performing in musicals and plays all over the country, including national tours, regional theatre, and NYC Off-Broadway. He has appeared in TV shows, feature films, and commercials. He is a member of Actors Equity, the Dramatists Guild, and the Screen Actors Guild. He received his Masters degree in Theatre/Playwriting from Texas State University, and is now in his sixth year at Rye Neck. He teaches both MS & HS acting courses, plus Technical Theatre and Musical Theatre. He is the Chorus director, the Thespians advisor, and the A Cappella advisor. Scott also initiated and directs the Fall plays at Rye Neck. Thanks to Kathryn, Fran, Katie Jo, Karen, and Anne. And especially to Mary.

    From Chappaqua, NY. Recent: Carnival Cruise Line, Piano Entertainer (Performer), Holland America Cruise Line,“BillboardOnboard” Piano Entertainer”(Performer), North Broward Prep School, Bring It On! (Asst MD/keyboard), Rye Neck HS, Damn Yankees, Weston HS, South Pacific (MD/keyboard). Nat’l tours: Circus Smirkus (bandleader/keyboard), Big Apple Circus (keyboard), Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus (keyboard). Performer: Flying Ivories Dueling Pianos, Rocky Horror Picture Show (Apoca-Lips). BA in Music and Theatre from Muhlenberg College, studied at Accademia dell’Arte (Italy). Pianist, clown, and collaborator.

  • Katie Jo Flanagan

    Assistant Choreographer

    is happy to return to Rye Neck HS for a second year! US appearances: Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall & The Kennedy Center. Abroad: the London 2012 Olympics, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and Shanghai, Xi'an & Beijing, China! She also directs the children's musical/vocal performances at Creative Summer in Stamford. Thanks to Scott and Fran for the opportunity!
