Franklin Middle School is a special place headed by incredibly supportive principals, Evelyn Rutledge and Nick Solomon. I can’t thank you enough for supporting this program - particularly this year with all the protocols in place!!! We could not have done this without it!! We also appreciate the support of our VP”s Tori Hurd (liaison for HSC) Jill Santoni, Daryn Plummer, Tania Kelly, the staff, Shawn Czech and his custodial staff, and Mrs. Roberta Mitchell, the Fine, Visual and Performing Arts Supervisor!
Finally, to my hardworking, talented, flexible, patient, and dedicated cast you have practiced so hard (with masks) and have given your heart and soul to this production, in a very unprecedented year. Each one of you have left an imprint on the SGS stage. You will be “remembered” for the valuable contribution you made this very different show year. Each year I reconfirm that life is a gift, and I am so blessed to do what I love to do with such talented students! Take all you have learned about the magic of theatre, and let it remind you that you can be whoever you want to be, as long as you work hard and stay true to yourself!
To my 7th graders… here’s to next year, and I am so proud of all of you! I am sure you all can’t wait for next year! I look forward to another year of creatively working with you if you choose!
To my 8th graders… As you move onto high school, I hope you know that your faith in yourself, and love of family, and community is what makes us life a wonderful journey!! Your path in life will have its ups and downs. But, remember to make your voice heard in a positive way. Always stand up for what you believe in and use your gifts and talents to touch the people who you will be fortunate to meet in your life.
Thank you all for sharing a special and very challenging period in time with me. It has been a pleasure watching you “grow up” over the past few years... and it will be my pleasure to continue to watch you grow either with me next year or at FHS!
Bravo to all! You have made one person in the audience happy tonight!!... And for the last time… I bow to you!!!!
