Legally Blonde - March 04 - March 06, 2022

Saddle River Day School

 End Notes

Note From The Director:

This is the second musical I've directed at Saddle River Day School and it has been such a wonderful, exciting experience to be able to work again in SRDS' theatre program. I am so proud of the work the students have done. We have over 35 students in this cast - either acting, singing, dancing, or working in tech crew - and each one of them has put in a tremendous amount of effort and time to make this production a success. They are amazingly dedicated, incredibly talented, and just a joy to work with day by day. I want to sincerely thank all the students in the show for all they have done - none of this would have been possible without them.

I would also like to thank Mr. Tyler Capa for his endless work and dedication to the SRDS theatre program, as well as Mr. Jalaj Desai, Mr. Tony Maccarella, and Mr. Eric Storckman for all their help and support throughout the production. A special thanks as well to all the parents who contributed technical help, dinners, and time. Without them, this musical would not be possible.

Legally Blonde: The Musical is a show about finding your way in a chaotic world. Many of the characters feel like they know what they want at the start of the show, only to realize that their original desires weren't actually good for them. It's a story about understanding not just what you want, but finding a way to push yourself past basic wants into a fulfilling, meaningful life. I couldn't think of a better show thematically for high school students to tackle. I hope you enjoy!
