    Director

    A Professor of Theatre at SVSU Roberts acting experience includes: Off-Broadway "That's Life!" NYC, local theatre, and several small films. Chair of the theatre department at SVSU, he is also the Regional III Chair of the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He studied theater at SVSU where he received his BA, and at EMU where he obtained his MFA in Child Drama. An avid singer, he sings in the choir at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Saginaw and with the Saginaw Choral Society. He has been a past featured soloist at the Baroque on Beaver Music Festival on Beaver Island! This year marks his 42nd year working in theatre. He is very excited about celebrating the 21st Anniversary of The SVSU Fine Arts Day Camp! This camp is the longest running theatre map in Saginaw! Ric was recently married to his longtime partner Jeremiah. He and his husband are currently restoring a thirty-two room mansion in the Cathedral District in Downtown Saginaw.

    Lighting Designer

    An active lighting designer, sound designer, technical theatre instructor, choreographer, dance instructor and arts administrator. She holds an MFA in Theatre Arts and an MFA in Choreography from the University of Iowa. She is currently an Asst. Professor of Theatre at SVSU where she designs lighting and sound for main stage productions as well as mentors student designers and technicians. Most recent lighting design was for the production of The Cripple of Inishmaan & most recent sound design was for the production of Really Really. She has also recently designed for the Hollins University MFA Dance Program’s Summer Dance Events in Roanoke, VA & she served as the Assistant to Lighting Designer Ted Sullivan for the May Dance Concerts at Juilliard. She currently the lighting consultant for The Flint Institute of Music’s MacArther Recital Hall. To keep her “toe in the door” of the dance world, Peggy teaches dance classes at SVSU & Flint School of Performing Arts.

    Scenic Designer

    A Bay City native, Jerry has designed and built over 120 productions for SVSU theater in the past 16 years. In addition to his work at SVSU he also volunteers with local community theaters. He has also been instrumental to the department of theatre for his work with the Michigan Educational Theatre Association and the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival!
