"It takes a community to raise a child".
Without our local business sponsors the All City Musical program would not exist. Without the people stated below, this program and experience for these children would not exist.
The classic Disney production of “Beauty & the Beast” has great lessons for all our early teen students. Not only the lesson in the story line but the lessons each student receives from participating in a musical are invaluable. Participating in a project such as this challenges each student in team work, patience, hard work, stamina and commitment.
As every year does, we had a few surprises while casting. Some young men with confidence and talented voices appeared. Our “Belle” played by Elizabeth Mahoney came out of the woodwork. Listening to her sing, all you will want is to hear more. We hope you enjoy her talent.
There are so many people to thank. My special thanks to: Superintendent Paula Deacon for her full support and allowing the program to continue. Samoset Principals Kathy Ciccolini of Samoset and Deborah Squires of Sky View for their relentless support of their students and this program. To all the Elementary Principals for allowing their students to participate. Johanna Delvalle, Melanie Mikels, Alecia Campbell, Sheila Devarney for all their administrative help. Mr. Bob Healy for starting the All City Musical with me in 1999 as well as his continuous support with set materials and microphones. Ms Doreen Croteau who has helped out for years costuming our show. Ms. Beth Drummey for costuming this year’s show. Steve Dauphinais with his microphone help. To Ms. Andrea Mastrianni and Mr. Tim Smith with all their technical advice, equipment and space use. To the cast and crew for all their hard work. Mrs. Sherry Blouin (Samoset Art Teacher) has involved her art classes for twenty years inspiring young visual artist. This program would not happen without her. Thank you to Sherry and all of her past and present students. A special thanks to Mr Ron Leblanc and Anthony Conte for building the set. You rock!!
To Rachel Twiss our Director, who has the patience of a saint. Rachel has a life time of stage and production experience. She has stepped right into the fire and has handled the Middle School All City Musical with flying colors. The students love and respect her. I would like to thank her publicly for her talents and dedication.
Lastly; thank you to all the parents who have worked tirelessly on this show and many before. To Mary Cafarella who for years has dedicated countless hours and weekends supporting this show, her children and your children.
Finally to all you patrons who come and see the show. From the Staff, Cast & Crew,
Thank you.
Bob Landry,
All City Musical Producer
