Student Director's Notes
Play Production was my first performing arts class at SSHS. I remember when I first transferred to Santa Su and I was extremely nervous for what my theatre experience here would be and what it would lead to. Ever since I was 9 years old, I had always loved theatre and I am proud to say that this program has continued to foster and grow my love for the stage. Not only has it grown my passion for acting, but it has also given me new and exciting opportunities, experiences, and challenges. Student-directing Macbeth has been one of those new opportunities and it has truly been an honor to help with the production process from start to finish. I’d like to thank Mr. C for creating a space to grow in every element of theatre. I’d also like to give a heartwarming thank you to my cast as they have been an incredible support system to work with and learn from. And finally, a huge thank you to our crew, this show simply would not be possible without their hours of hard work and dedication. This play has been a pleasure to assistant-direct and I hope you enjoy the show!
